D'Iberville Memorial Park was established in 1966. The Cemetery consists of approximately 13 acres. It was originally established as Serene Memorial Gardens and sometimes referred to as Serenity Memorial Gardens. In 1988 Linda Davis acquired the cemetery from Mr. C. B. Bryant officially naming the cemetery D'Iberville Memorial Park. Mrs. Davis was very involved with the Mississippi Cemetery Association and served as their President in 1994. That also was the year that Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home became involved with D'Iberville Memorial Park.
The cemetery is presently managed by Mr. Steve Hilton. The Management and Staff of the cemetery consider it a privilege to be of service to the families that select D'Iberville and have a dedicated compassion for helping others.
Memorial Candlelight Ceremony
Established in 2002, the management and staff work very diligently to put on our Memorial Candlelight ceremony. This is where the staff fills small white bags with sand and place one on each and every grave where a burial has taken place. At dusk a brief Ceremony is conducted by a local clergy person and then those attending help light the candles in the bags on every grave. When the sun has fully receded, the display of lights and the sense of Peaceful Tribute is absolutely breathtaking. The event has grown each and every year and has been tremendously supported by the property owners. This service is generally scheduled prior to Christmas.
