Abe Frey

Abe Frey, age 104, a long-time Biloxi resident, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Frey was a World War II veteran and an accomplished artist. His art focused on Mississippi Gulf Coast scenes and also included western and classical motifs. He is survived by his two daughters, Sandra Gabe of Hollister, California, and Leda Karchmer of Houston, Texas; and his son-in-law, Michael Karchmer. There will be a graveside service at Southern Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Memorial donations may be made to Congregation Beth Israel, 12277 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, Mississippi 39503. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
