Albert Adam Blanchard, 90, of Ocean Springs, MS died Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Biloxi.
Mr. Blanchard was a native of Biloxi and a resident of Ocean Springs for fifty years. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Blanchard was an Aircraft Propeller Mechanic Specialist, retiring after thirty years of service. He was a member of White Plains UMC and a Ten Gallon Blood Donor.
Mr. Blanchard is survived by his wife, Peggy Parker Blanchard; his two step-daughters, Ileen Dubose (Nolly) and Delores Mills (Robert); his two step-sons, David Parker and Tom Parker (Tracy); six grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to Lea’s Prayers and Postage, 1203 Garfield Ave., Masaryktown, FL 34604, in memory of his grandson who was killed in Iraq.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the entire staff in Building 15 of the Biloxi VA Medical Center – with special recognition to the Yellowstone Section.
Pall bearers will be Tom Parker, David Parker, Billy Dubose, Parker Mills, Johnny Higginbotham and Nolly Dubose.
Funeral Services will be held at the White Plains United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. Friends may visit from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at White Plains Cemetery.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
