Alice Grace also loving known as “Allie” was born and raised in Biloxi, MS. She was a resident of Woolmarket until graduating from D’Iberville High School and finishing her Associates degree in Tourism and Hospitality. While working on her degree, Alice met her soul-mate Charles David Curtis. The two married and relocated to Killeen, Texas after Charles joined the Army. While they were there Alice trained and learned dog grooming. This was where she found her niche. After his service they returned to the coast and both were employed at Shoney’s Hotel and Restaurant. She then found a job at Butler’s Pet Shop where she worked for 15 years. She continued her craft at Gulf Coast Veterinarian Hospital for Dr .Sandifar for 2 years before opening her own business- Alice’s Ruff Cuts in Biloxi in 2008. She was loved and adored by all her customers and furry friends alike.
Alice passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Thursday, January 8, 2015 and is with our Lord in Heaven now. She is survived by: her devoted loving husband, Charles David Curtis, of Biloxi; her sweet pets- Diva, Princess, and Dexter; her mother, Linda Ann Holloway Conlee, (Albert); father, John Barry Feranda, (Tammy); sister, Maria Ann Feranda Hamilton, (Tom); nieces April Gruich, (Nicholas and Aleigh) Amanda White,(Johnny and Jaylin); nephew, Andrew Higginbotham; and brother, Michael Feranda (April and Oliviella).
A celebration of her life will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi on Howard Ave. on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 6-8pm.
