Andre`V. Carpentier passed away on Saturday, August 2nd surrounded by family and friends.
His passing was unexpected, but we are thankful we could spend his last moments with him.
Andre` was born in Volois, Quebec, Canada, came to the United States as a child and became a U.S. citizen. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a successful businessman and owned many businesses over his lifetime including the Surf Club in Pascagoula, the Village Inn and Golden Carriage restaurants in Ocean Springs and a Real Estate and Construction company in Ocean Springs. He was a charter member of the Ocean Springs Elks Club #2501 and a member of the Krewe of Rix since 1990.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecile Carpentier, father Gustav Carpentier and brother, Pierre Carpentier.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Carpentier, daughters Monique Ward (John) and Suzanne Lockwood (David), son, Michael Schooley (Melissa), brother, Rene Carpentier, grandchildren Kevin Ward (Nikki), Garrett Schooley, Shae Schooley, Brie Schooley and Keaton Schooley, great grandson Huch Ward and his loving dog, Pumpkin.
His sense of humor was contagious. He was loving, loyal and very generous to those he loved. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with an 11:00 a.m. service, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. We will be celebrating his life, colored attire welcomed.
