Anna Mae "Sarah" Lechner

Anna Mae “Sarah” Lechner, age 97, of Ocean Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Mrs. Lechner was born in Ocean Springs and was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a member of the Altar Society of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Vancleave, a past member of St. Michael’s Altar Society and Choir, and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Mrs. Lechner is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew A. Lechner; daughter, Barbara Jean Williams; parents, Alphonse and Leona Beaugez; and grandchildren, Andrew “Albie” Lechner III and Phan Nguyen; sisters, Rita Beaugez, Annette Jones, Lydia Seymour; and brothers, Welber Beaugez, Wilfred Beaugez and Joseph Beaugez. Survivors include her daughters, Anna June Skinner (Gerald) of St. Martin and Linda Saucier (Clement) of Biloxi; sons, Andrew Albert Lechner, Jr. (Bunny) of Vancleave, Daniel Joseph Lechner (Roberta) of Biloxi;14 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to be made to St. Michael’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, P.O. Box 1228, Biloxi, MS 39533. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:00a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
