Arthur Joseph Webber

Arthur Joseph Webber, 92, of Ocean Springs, MS died on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Mr. Webber was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs, a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a graduate of Ocean Springs High School. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II. Mr. Webber is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur D. and Aurelia Ladnier Webber and by his beloved sisters, Mary Alice “Mae” Miller and Rose Oakes. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Elsie Zettel Webber of Brunswick, GA; daughter, Susan W. Shackelford and husband, Bob of St. Simons Island, GA; sister, Winona “Nony” Raether of Ocean Springs, MS; two grandchildren, Stacey Kalish and husband, Marc of Atlanta, GA and Robert Shackelford of Brandon, MS and one great-grandson, Landon Kalish. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his niece, Ann Miller, his nurse, Becky and other special caregivers of Camellia Home Health Care for all their love and support. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Ocean Springs. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
