Aubery Don Clark

Aubery Don Clark passed away on August 12, 2014 of a sudden heart attack. He was a graduate of Pearl River Jr. College and attended University of Southern Mississippi as a music Major. He continued his love of music throughout his life by playing his bass guitar in the local band “The Relative Unknowns” He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Martha Smith. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mason Clark; three children, Heather Murray, Amanda Sterling, and Ben Clark. Fondly called Pop, he leaves behind his three treasured grandchildren, Kennedy Murray, Mackenzie and Tanner Sterling. He was an active member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church where he served on the scholarship committee. Don was a selfless, authentic, generous and optimistic person. His philosophy when discouraged was make the best of a bad situation and God will lead you thru the obstacles of Life. He was a quiet and humble person never boasting about his accomplishments. He retired from Mississippi Power Company after 30 years and then began a second career with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) as a Union Representative. He was passionate about the union, believing that all employees were entitled to fair wages and representation when issues arose in the workplace. Don was a member of the Gulf Coast Mustang Club where he proudly drove his Roush 427 down Highway 90. He was a dedicated Saints and NASCAR fan. He was a Master of the grill and delighted in cooking for his family.
