Austin James Touchet, 75, of Biloxi, MS died Monday, January 14, 2013 in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Touchet was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the Biloxi Fire Department after 32 years of service. Mr. Touchet was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Fleur de Lis Society, the Moose Lodge, the Biloxi Elks, the Knights of Columbus and the V.F.W.
Mr. Touchet is preceded in death by his parents, Shelton and Lurline Touchet.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Romero Touchet; his daughters, Belinda (Harry) Lamey, Kim Touchet (Steve) Heflin, Sonya Touchet (Richard) Gehrke and Lisa Touchet Harkey; his sons, Delbert (Sandra) York, Tony Touchet and Brian Touchet; his half-sister, Roxanne Touchet; his brothers, Wayne Touchet and Kenny Touchet; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
