Barbara Ann Tanner Comeaux of Biloxi died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 in Biloxi. She was 76.
Barbara was born in Vancleave, but was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. She was an honest and hard-working mother who was dedicated to her family. Her late husband, "Whitey," was blind for much of his life, which meant Barbara was the primary provider for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Francis “Whitey” Comeaux; a son, Michael Dean Comeaux; her parents, William and Sabra Tanner; two brothers, James and Samuel Tanner; and three sisters, Margaret Buckingham, Alice King and Sabra Fox.
She is survived by her three daughters, Andrea Comeaux, Shawn Comeaux Braun, and Michelle Comeaux Wescovich; a son, Terrence Comeaux, all of Biloxi; sisters, Geraldine Carlander, Mary Lou Ridgedell, Patricia Booty and Ina Holden; eight grandchildren, Amy Comeaux, Nicky Asselin, Grant Comeaux, J.R. Braun, Jerrilyn Wescovich, Brooke Wescovich, Shelby Wescovich and Caden Comeaux; and four great-grandchildren, Sabre, Austin, Alex and Nicholas.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 from 8:30 until 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Biloxi, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
