Beatrice Fayard Quave, age 89, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. She was a native of Biloxi, MS and a longtime resident of D’Iberville, MS. Beatrice was in the civil service in personnel at Keesler Air Force Base until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lee Quave, Sr.; her parents, Leon and Irene (Lamey) Fayard; and her sisters, Mildred Klein and Audrey Burdine.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Nolan) Broussard; sons, Louis Lee (Lilliam) Quave, Michael Quave, and David Quave; grandchildren, Julie (Danny) Bass, Kristina Broussard, Nolan (Natalie) Broussard, Lauren (Josh) Simpson, Matthew (Rachel) Broussard, Natalie Quave, Nathan Quave, Brian Quave, Glenn Quave, Jared Quave, and Jacob Quave; 6 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dorothy Thibodeaux.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral on Howard Avenue in Biloxi, MS. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the mass. Graveside blessings will take place following the mass at Swetman Cemetery in D’Iberville. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
