Age 81, Resident of Success, died June 30,2015.
Preceded in death by her parents, George and Alma Fratta of Lake Helen, Florida; son, David George Pushcar; daughter, Karen Pushcar Floyd; stepson, Mitchell L. Wieck; first husband, David J. Pushcar; sister, Barbara (Larry) Metz; and triplet sisters, Bonnie, Beatrice and Beverly Fratta.
Bunny is survived by her husband of 38 years to Lyle “Charlie” L. Wieck; three step-children, Michael L. Wieck, Teresa M. Wieck and Tina (Dean) Perkins; one grandson, David (Jennifer) Pushcar; six step-grandsons, Mitchell, Travis, Marcus and Tyler Wieck, and Jesse and Justin Perkins; and great grand-children, Katrina, David, Nina and Dylan Pushcar; and daughter in law, Patty Pushcar.
Bunny graduated from Rochester High School of Rochester, New York from where she won a scholarship in music for her angelica voice. She moved to Biloxi, Mississippi in c. 1953 and attended Jefferson Davis Junior College where she earned an Associates degree in accounting. Her first job was a telephone operator at the Veterans Administration. She proceeded to the finance and accounting department at Keesler Air Force Base where she retired in 1993. After retirement, she worked for H&R Block in D’Iberville for 20 years as a tax professional and a senior tax advisor.
Bunny was a loving and caring wife. She and Lyle were soul mates, best friends and had a love for their family, outings and traveling. Boy did they love to travel. They traveled to all 50 states, 7 Providences in Canada which included the Northwest Territory and the Yukon, and the Caribbean. They have approximately 1 million miles of driving time-shared together to these destinations.
Lyle and his family express their large heartfelt appreciation to Cynthia O’Dell Hester who gave tender care to Bunny during her last year. A special gratitude is owed to Mark and Sheryl Abshire, Pastor James King and Canon Hospice. A special thank you to Lyle and Bunny's son-in-law, Dean Perkins who was always there at a moment's notice.
Services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:00am at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:00pm at Howard Avenue Chapel. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
