Bertie O’Neal Bledsoe, 94, of Biloxi died Monday, March 3, 2014.
She was born in McHenry, MS in 1919. Bertie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi. She loved gardening, reading and passed down her love for cooking to her granddaughter, Nealy. Bertie found her greatest joy in her family and will be sadly missed.
Bertie was preceded in death by her husband, Horace David Bledsoe; and son, Danny David Bledsoe.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Crawford; her grandchildren, Nealy Frentz and her husband, Keith Frentz and Susan Keenum and her husband, Bernard Keenum; four great-grandchildren, Ella and Holden Frentz, Hunter and Chase Desporte; and her daughter-in-law, Maxine Bledsoe.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to all of the staff at Greenbriar Nursing Center for their loving care.
A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
