Mrs. Beverly Ann Balius Barlow died Saturday, December 2, 2012, in Picayune, MS.
Beverly lived in California, Texas, and Japan and traveled in the far East before finally retiring to Biloxi, MS. She was an intelligent woman with great sense of humor, organizational abilities and a wonderful sense of style. She dearly loved her grandchildren and cherished her time with them. She was active in the Biloxi High School Reunion group until her illness forced her to quit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cmdr. John R Barlow; her parents, Frank and Ola Mae Balius; her brother, Frank Balius Jr.; and sister-in-law, Eunice Balius.
She is survived by her three children, Dr. Victoria Barlow, John R Barlow II and Suzanne Hedges; six grandchildren, John Hopkins, Samantha Hopkins, John R Barlow III, Brandy Furdyna, Gil and Ross Hedges; and eight great grandchildren, Alexis Zeller, Jacob Hopkins, Chayla, Ryland and Hayden Hopkins, Faith Hopkins, Jacob Barlow and Landon Furdyna.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Biloxi City Cemetery next to her husband, Cmdr. John R. Barlow.
