Bob Eugene Baublits passed away peacefully at his home on November 17, 2012 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Bob and his twin sister, Betty, were born in Wichita, Kansas on December 21, 1922. Their parents, Scott and Mary Baublits, raised Betty and Bob in Ada, Oklahoma, where Scott opened the first local JC Penney store.
Bob attended the University of Oklahoma and was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. His studies at OU were interrupted by WWII, where Bob served as 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp as a pilot of B24 and B29 Bombers.
Bob married his wife of 31 years, Lucia Osmondson in 1981, in Jefferson City, Mo.
After WWII Bob began his career with JC Penney Company and retired in 1983 after 38 years of service. He continued to work as a financial advisor and owner of the Lucia’s Hallmark Store in Ocean Springs, MS.
Preceded him in death were his parents, Scott and Mary Baublits and his twin sister Betty Yarberry of Houston.
He is survived by his wife Lucia Baublits of Ocean Springs, MS. Bob is also survived by his daughters Barbara Moore and Nancy Thomas of Atlanta, GA. and his son Bob Baublits Jr and wife Kathi Baublits of Dallas, TX. He has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The memorial services for Bob will be held at 3:00PM on Nov. 20, 2012 with visitation after the services. The service will be held at St Paul United Methodist Church, 800 Porter Ave., Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
