Bobbie Jean Williams Rosskopf, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at home. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on 15th Street in Gulfport. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday morning, January 7, 2014 at Handsboro Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Bobbie Jean was born on February 24, 1933 in Jackson, MS. She graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Southern MS. She married the love of her life, Frank W. Rosskopf, on November 29, 1952. She and Frank were blessed with four children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, all of whom she deeply loved and cared for. They opened Joe Williams Electric Supply Co. in Gulfport in 1961 which they later purchased and changed the name to Rosskopf Electric Supply. Frank and Bobbie Jean operated their own company until they retired. She was a member of Handsboro Presbyterian Church.
Bobbie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe H. Williams and her sister, Mary Joe Woodrow.
Survivors include, her husband of 61 years, Frank W. Rosskopf; her sons, John Rosskopf; Jeff Rosskopf and his wife Lisa; Ken Rosskopf and his wife Nina, all of Gulfport, MS; her daughter, Liz Clemmer and her husband David of Madison, MS; her grandchildren, Kristin McDevitt of Madison, MS, Taylor Clemmer of Ocean Springs, MS, Jeffrey Rosskopf, Adrienne Rosskopf, Whitney Rosskopf, Madison Rosskopf and William Rosskopf, all of Gulfport, MS; and one great-grandchild, Carter Rosskopf of Gulfport, MS.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Boyd Benefield, Ms. Sarah Patridge, and Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate and loving care during the past several years.
