Bonnie Rohrs Stone

Bonnie Rohrs Stone, 76, of Ocean Springs, MS, formerly of Arroyo Grande, CA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Laura. Bonnie was born March 15, 1938 in Berwyn, Cook Co., IL, to parents, Martin Rohrs and Mildred Clair Bendel Rohrs. She was an entrepreneur owning and running several businesses. Bonnie’s love of traveling took her around the world. She liked nothing more than to plan her next big trip. Bonnie is preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Lee Slagle; and her husband, Ronald Larry Stone. She is survived by her brother, George R. Rohrs of Grover Beach, CA; her children, Ken Slagle of Wendover, NV, Laura Lynn San Diego (Gregory) of Ocean Springs, MS, Mike Slagle (Angie) of Canon City, CO and Jon Slagle (Mary) of Ocean Springs, MS; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501. At Bonnie’s request, there are to be no services. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
