Carley Windfield Seymour, age 84, passed away in his home surrounded by his family Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
He was born June 8, 1934 in Ocean Springs to Leon McClinton Seymour and Ada Anna Sumrall. He was a local bluegrass musician and an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding. His hobbies included music, gardening, fishing, "Jack of All Trades," and Master of Few.
Carley is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carlia Maria Seymour; nine brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lynn Seymour; children, Carley W. Seymour, Jr. (Linda), Susan Paulette Mills (Glenn), Autumn Seymour, Michael L. Seymour (Crystal), and Risa R. Stein (Jeffrey); sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Seymour Cemetery, or "Rock and Roll Graveyard."
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Carley W. Seymour. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Deaconess Hospice of Biloxi, family, and friends for their support.
