Carni Cay Chamberlin

Carni Cay Chamberlin, 59, of Gulfport died Monday, June 10, 2013 in Gulfport. She was born in Kendallville, IN and had been a resident of Gulfport for the past 36 years. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 25 years until her retirement in 2012. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John F. Chamberlin. She is survived by her daughter, Lena Bowin of Gulfport; a son, John (Stephanie) Bowin of Biloxi; a sister, Rebecca Crotts of Indiana; a brother, Gayle (Angela) Chamberlin of Minnesota; her mother, Retha (Cleon) Houck of Minnesota; and five grandchildren, Donovan Bowin, Tehla Bowin, Lucien Cogburn, Andrew Bowin and Brian Bowin.
