Carolyn June “CJ” (Reynolds) Boernge, 78, of Gulfport died Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Boernge was born in Meridian, Mississippi. She lived in Colorado for 20-years where she was a volunteer for the Denver Symphony Orchestra and the Denver Aquarium. Known as CJ, she also was an amateur artist. She and her husband returned to Gulfport in 2007, where she loved sailing on their boat. CJ was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Ola Mae Reynolds; Son, James M. Boernge, Jr., and grandson, David M. Bond.
She is survived by loving husband James M. Boernge; two sisters, Ouida J. Matturri and Gail E. Guay; seven children, Benford L. Bond (Darlene) of Perkinston, Phyllis Bond Darcy (Piper) of Austin, TX, Darrell W. Bond (Paula) of Perkinston, Shelia Bond Christie (Johnny) of Perkinston, Doyle R. Bond (Linda) of Perkinston, Jennifer Boernge Post (Justin) of Thornton, CO; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am and Memorial Services at 11:00am Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Mississippi City United Methodist Church, 219 Courthouse Rd, Gulfport, MS.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 4531, Biloxi, MS 39535.
