Carolyn Parks Posey

Carolyn Parks Posey, age 70, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014. Carolyn has been a resident of Vancleave since 1975. She retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Arnold Parks, Sr.; sister, Freda Roberts; brothers, Winston Parks, Tommy Parks, and Arnold Parks, Jr. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 48 years, Walter Posey, Jr.; daughters, Deborah Lynn Posey, Lindsey Michelle Posey, and Katelyn Anita Posey; sons, Walter Posey, III and Bruce Lane Posey (Stephanie); sisters, Phyllis Luxenberg, Anne Batson (Ted), Marcia Hester, Marilyn Hunt (Jerry) and Renne Clark; brothers, Glenn Parks, Gene Parks (Juanita), Bobby Parks (Sue) and Stephen Parks; grandchildren, Amber Nicole Thrash, Walter Devin Posey, Deston Garrett Posey, Cade Lane Posey, Drake Evan Posey, Allyson Paige Tunstall, Austin Robert Tunstall, and Ayden Cooper Tunstall; and one great-grandchild, Tripp Lane Hamilton. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe where friends may visit 2 hours prior.
