Charley Cecil Self

Mr. Charley Cecil Self, 68, of Vancleave, died Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather that was a great friend and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Mr. Self is preceded in death by his parents, Charley & Christine Self; son, William Floyd White; brother, Frank Self; and his stepmother, Tina Christine Self. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Amaryllis Self; daughters, Kathy (Rueal) Goleman, Patty Self, Norma (Andrew) Whittle, Mary (Rodger) Whittle, and Melinda (David) Tallent;sons, Ray (Paula) Self, Tommy (Renee’) Self, William (Katie) Self, Steve (Betty) White, and Jimmy (Glenda) White; sisters, Margie Glover and Peggy Self, and brothers, Roger, James, Bill, and Charles Self; 26 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave with Rev. Greg Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery all under the direction of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 4901 Jim Ramsey Road in Vancleave.
