Christopher Anthony Gibson

Christopher Anthony Gibson, age 55, of Brentwood, TN, passed away on February 3, 2014. Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Fetter Gibson and brother, Richard Gibson, both of Mobile, AL; and grandmother, Laura Dismuke. Survivors include his father, Herbert H. Gibson of Fairhope, AL; daughter, Christia D. Gibson; son, Eric S. Gibson; ex-wife, Patricia A. Gibson; brother-in-law, Ellis E. Evans, Jr.; sister-in-law, Sonja Evans; nephew, Tyler E. Evans; mother-in-law, Lottie E. Evans; and fiancée, Cheryl S. Barton of Brentwood, TN. Christopher was a wonderful son, father, husband, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, fiancée, along with being a good man and friend to many. He will truly be missed by all who loved him and knew him. Christopher was born and raised in Mobile, AL. He served five years in the United States Navy with an Honorable Discharge. He lived in Biloxi, MS for 26 years and worked for MS Power Company and then for the power company in Birmingham, AL (Southern Co.) while living in Brentwood, TN. While living on the coast he was an active coach/board member in many of his children’s activities over the years which include: softball, baseball and hockey. He was a great provider for his family, loved to cook and help with activities around the home. He truly enjoyed riding on his motorcycle. Service is Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. 228-374-5650
