Claude Stanton Bourgeois

Claude Stanton Bourgeois, Jr., age 57, of Biloxi passed away Monday, October 7, 2013. Claude was born in New Orleans, but was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. His life was devoted to his faith, family and his heritage. He was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. He was also an active member of the Catholic Cursillo Movement where he served as past President of the Secretariat. He was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus for the Fred L. Westbrook Council. Claude was currently enrolled in the New Wine program for the Biloxi Diocese. He was president and co-owner of the Columbia Property Group. Claude is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lorraine LaCour Bourgeois. Survivors include his children, Jennifer Louise Bourgeois and Stephanie Michelle Nevins; grandchildren, Gabrielle Nicole Bourgeois, Gerald Groue, Jr., Christian Nevins, Jr. and Bruce Spearnock, III; great granddaughter, Ryleigh Nicole White; sisters, Suzanne Bourgeois Jennings (John), Melanie Bourgeois Moe (Kenny) and Brian Paul Bourgeois (Julie); nine nieces and nephews; three great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends who shared his passion for faith and life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday October 11, 2013 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
