Col. Sharon L. Hick, USAFR (ret)

Col. Sharon L. Hick, USAFR (ret), 63, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Biloxi. Col Hick was a longtime resident of Biloxi. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, AMSUS, and the Reserve Officers Association. She was a dedicated volunteer with the Wildlife Care and Rescue Center. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Margaret Hick. Col Hick’s survivors include her husband, Lt Col Mark L. Carter, USAFR, (ret) of Biloxi; her children, Gavin Carter and 2nd Lt Trish Carter, USAFR, both of Biloxi; and her sister, Patricia Rodgers of Encinitas, CA. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the Wildlife Care and Rescue Center, Inc., www.wildlifecareandrescuecenter.org. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until mass time. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11:00 am. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
