Mrs. Cora Lee Bigot Tanner Perek, age 84, of Ocean Springs, MS, went to be with her family in Heaven on Wednesday, July 2, 2014.
Mrs. Perek was born in Jackson County where she remained a lifelong resident. She was a loving wife and mother and her proudest accomplishment was her eight children and gathering them together on Christmas Day. Momma was well known for her biscuits and red velvet cake. She remained involved in the church.
Mrs. Perek was preceded in death by her first husband, David Tanner, parents, Emile and Rosie Bigot, four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Perek, five daughters, Rosemary (Greg) Collins, Ellen Charlene Carroll, Kathleen Tanner, Diane (Timothy) Deas and Theresa (Randy) Payne, three sons, Michael Tanner, Fred (Mary) Tanner, and Teddy Tanner, four stepchildren, Maryann (Gary) Holliman, Mike (Lori) Perek, Tony Perek and Etta (Marcus) DeLorey, 30 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Special thanks and love to Mrs. Pervis, Dana, Jeanene, Becky, Denise, Christy, Melissa, Tracy, Doug, David, Wes, Ruben, Tim Shoemaker, Linda Seymour, Mrs. T Mrs. Hazel, Reggie, Bro, Cousin Eunice and hospice family.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10, from 10 am until 11am, with an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial, all at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Pascagoula. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery in Vancleave.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
