David "Dave" Richard Peterson

On Saturday January 23rd we will be celebrating the life of David Richard Peterson born in Dell Rapids, South Dakota on April 16, 1937. David passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 peacefully at his home in Biloxi, MS after a courageous battle with cancer. David is preceded in death by his father Hollie and his mother Margaret Briley Peterson. Dave is survived by his wonderful loving wife Sandra Hollida Peterson, whom he loved dearly and was blessed with 28 years of marriage. His legacy is 3 children and 5 grandchildren and soon to be 1 great grandchild. Dave’s daughter Nannette Billings and her husband Darren reside in Little Rock, AR. Dave’s middle son Joel along with his wife Teresa reside in Ft. Collins, CO. Dave’s youngest son Greg and his wife Jennifer reside in Tulsa, OK. Dave is also survived by his sister Beth (Marvin) Nelson, brother Bob (Lee) Peterson and brother Jack Peterson. Dave had a real passion and zest for life. Everyone he met experienced his humorous and adventurous approach to life. He loved to travel always looking for the next adventure. His love for boating and being around the water nourished his spirit. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Services will be held at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue on Saturday, January 23, 2016 with visitation beginning at 10 AM with service beginning at 11 AM. Burial at Coalville Cemetery to follow.
