Dona Marie Cox, a resident of Pensacola, Florida passed away after a lengthy illness on July 5, 2012 at Baptist Manor in Pensacola, Florida at the age of 59. Dona was born on May 18, 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Clifton Anderson Cox, Jr. and Lou Ethel Cox. She was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton A. Cox, Jr.
Dona is survived by her mother, Lou Ethel King Cox of Gulfport; her daughter, Dawn Black and her husband, Andrew of Baton Rouge, LA; her brother, Clifton “Skip” Cox and his wife, Debbie of Long Beach; and her niece, Jill Mitchell and her husband, Aubrey of Biloxi.
The family would like to acknowledge with deep appreciation the staff of Baptist Manor and Covenant Hospice Center, Pensacola, FL for their support and care.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Long Beach City Cemetery on South Girard Ave., Long Beach, MS on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mental Health Association of South Mississippi, 4803 Harrison Circle, Gulfport, MS 39507. Arrangements are under the direction of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport.
