Donna R. Ashworth

Mrs. Donna R. Ashworth, 91, of Vancleave, MS died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Vancleave. Donna was born on November 16, 1922 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of LaVern and Fern M. Lemmon Graves. She married Cleo B. Ashworth, Sr. on August 1, 1941, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1990. Donna was a member of Biloxi Christian Church. She was an avid hockey fan and would go as soon as the word “go” was said. She also loved to do cryptoquotes/cryptograms. She is preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Ashworth in 2006 and Donald Ashworth in 2005; her daughter-in-law, Mollie Ashworth in 2013; three brothers; and four sisters. Her survivors include her children, Janice (Larry) Dains of Saucier, MS, Cleo B. Ashworth, Jr. of Duluth, MN, Lorelei Thomas of Vancleave, MS and her baby, Alicia (Jeffrey) Woods of Vancleave, MS; her sister, Dorothy Pineau of Three Rivers, MI; her daughter-in-law, Anita Ashworth of Hazel Green, AL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Biloxi Christian Church, 14800 Big Ridge Rd. in St. Martin on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 9:30 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
