Dorothy Isabelle Aghkadian-Ramon

Dorothy Isabelle Aghkadian-Ramon, age 87, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014. Dorothy was born in Rehoboth, MA to Hagop Aghkadian and Rose Karkesian. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Ramon, IV and Grandson, Roy Melvin Gabel, Jr. of Biloxi, MS; her parents and siblings, Mae Christian and Zachary Aghkadian of Dighton, MA. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Helen Aghkadian of Dighton, MA; daughters, Deborah Ramon-Gabel, Karen and Tammy Ramon; sons, John, Rocky, Edward, Neal and Max Ramon; countless grandchildren, nieces and nephews in Biloxi, MS, Dighton, MA and a great-granddaughter of Norwich, England. Dorothy was employed in the food and beverage industry and traveled the southern states in the 60’s from Houston to Miami opening restaurants for Newberry’s. When the store opened at Edgewater Mall she gave up traveling to manage the Coffee Shop, Cafeteria and William Tally House Restaurant. She loved the little fishing town of Biloxi. In 1971, she and John Joseph Ramon, IV married on Christmas Eve and in 1984 she retired to become a full time wife, homemaker, and very loving and caring mother to the 8 children that came along with the marriage and her grandchildren. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their there be any more pain: for the former thing are passed away.” Revelations 21:4 Mom, We are going to miss your beautiful smile and your wonderful hugs, Love Trish and Rocky Grandma, We will never forget all the fun times with you and grandpa.
