Dorothy E. Furr

Dorothy E. Furr, 83, of Vancleave, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Dorothy was born on March 28, 1930 and was a Life Member of VFW Post 2434, Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Furr, Sr. and children, Evelyn Musseau and Charles Ray Goings. Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Spiers and Karen K. Cole; sons, David Mallette and Sidney (Robin) Goings; grandchildren, Howard “Stevie” Spiers, Jr., Jeremy C. Goings, Brandon S. Webb, Meghan E. Goings, Shelby R. Cole, Kaitlyn J. Goings, Zachary Spiers, Amber Corzine, Dwayne Mallette, Melissa Rice and Lindsey Kipper; and numerous great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Greenbriar Nursing Center and Hospice Compassus for their compassion, love and care. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
