Earl “Duck” Alley, age 86, of Ocean Springs, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014.
Earl was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and former member of St. John Catholic Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, MS Air National Guard and retired from the Biloxi VA Center after 35 years. He was a family man, caring father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin H. Alley and Amelia Fountain Alley; son, Joseph Wayne Alley; brothers, Donald and Orion Alley; and sisters, Nancy Burton and Annette Pell.
Survivors include his wife, Genevil Pickich-Alley of Ocean Springs; daughters, Susan (Steve) Ferrill of Biloxi and Kathie (Rene) Andersen of San Antonio, TX; sons, Michael Alley of D’Iberville and Wayne (Brenda) Alley of D’Iberville; sister, Deborah Hahn of St. Martin; brother, Norwood Alley, of Biloxi; and grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jason, Josh, Amber, Morgan, Zoe, Austin, Zachary, Ava-Grace, Stella, Elliott, Gabby, Ethan, Cooper and Graham.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10446 Lemoyne Blvd., D’Iberville, MS 39540.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
