Mrs. Spencer, age 92, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014, in Gulfport. She was from Natchez, MS and had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for the last 45 years. As an entrepreneur, she owned and operated several businesses on the coast including a restaurant, beauty salon and real estate company. "A real lady who could sell anything." Mrs. Spencer was beloved by family, always
working to help all children and grandchildren have a better life. She loved the Lord and prayed daily like her father. She will be missed terribly and loved forever.
Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her former husbands, Truett Tumey and Col. Fred Spencer; daughter, Marilyn Gandolfi Hobert; son, Edward "Eddie" Stafford; parents, Enoch Cummings and Lena Jones Berryhill; and sisters, Christine Byrd and Louise Hale. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Dobbs and Col Larry Dobbs; two sisters, Pauline Savino and Edith Hampton; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. till 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi. Graveside services will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
