It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Edward G. Braddock, 78, who departed this earth peacefully on October 7, 2014 in Ocean Springs Hospital. Mr. Braddock was born in New York in 1936 where he lived most of his adolescent years. He joined the United States Air Force in 1954 and served his country with tours in Germany, Korea, Vietnam, and at Keesler Air Force Base. It was Keesler Air Force Base where he met and married the love of his life, Ernie Braddock. They shared a love affair that spanned 44 years of marriage with much love and success. He retired as a Master Sergeant with 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. After retirement, he worked as a Pipe Fitter in Antarctica and eventually joined the SORTS Mobile Training Team at Keesler Air Force Base as an Instructor and traveled the world with his wife. Edward’s favorite time of year was Mardi Gras! He loved bead throwing and was a Duke in 2007 for Southernettes. Mr. Braddock thoroughly enjoyed decorating the house and yard for Christmas and was an avid golfer. He is also a proud member of the City of D’Iberville's Planning Commission. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Braddock; and a brother, Gene Braddock. Edward is Survived by his bride, Ernie Braddock; six children: Antoinette (Stanley) Morgan of Biloxi, Anthony (Ceily) Uram of Ocean Springs, Phyllis (Robert) Gamble of Little River, SC, Edward G. Jr (Theresa) Braddock of Liberty, NC, Frances (Tom) DiDomenico of Little Egg Harbor, NY, Elizabeth Braddock of Guilford, CT; eleven grandchildren: Ryan (Melissa) Morgan, Susie Morgan, Joy Lynn Morgan, Anthony "TJ" Uram, Katie Uram, Nicholas Smith, Christopher and Lindsey Braddock, Ryan Feeney, Thomas Domenici, and Maxwell Andrews; seven great-grandchildren: Kirstie (Mark), Brooke, Morgan, Destiny, Jeffrey, Brody and Bryce; two sisters: Margo Brooks and Jane (Jim) Doyle; one, brother William Braddock; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Coalville Cemetary in Woolmarket. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
