Edwin Phillip Skinner

Edwin Phillip Skinner, 79, of Biloxi, died Monday, April 29, 2013 in Biloxi. Mr. Skinner was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He served in the 1st Marine Division of the United States Marine Corps, where he fought in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War. Mr. Skinner also worked for Ingalls Shipyard. Mr. Skinner is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Bertha Skinner; and his two brothers, Manuel Skinner, Jr. and Roland Skinner. Survivors include his sister, Birdie Mae Skinner Nell of Biloxi; and his two brothers, Gerald Skinner of St. Martin and Al Skinner of Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the charity of one’s choice. Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by a 12:30 p.m. graveside service at Biloxi City Cemetery.
