Elbert James Ladnier, 69, of Biloxi, died Saturday, December 29, 2012.
Jimmie Ladnier ( Paw Paw Porky) was a lifelong resident of St. Martin. He worked at Ferson Optics until he retired. He worked side jobs for Coke and was a mechanic at Dave’s Garage in Biloxi. He loved hunting, mulleting and shrimping. He believed in God and the simple things in life. Above all, he loved his family and was proud of each and every one of them. He was what God wanted him to be as a person and was respected by all who knew him for his kind heart and straight forward attitude.
Mr. Ladnier is preceded in death by his son, Tim Ladnier and his parents, Elbert and Ruby Ladnier.
He is survived by his wife, Karren Ladnier, three daughters, Tammie Ladnier Powell, Terrie Ladnier Broach, and Tricia Ladnier Holden, his brother, Dannie Ladnier, his sister, Susan Standley, seven grandchildren, Bryana Hall, Jimmy Hall, Shanon Holley, Christopher Toncrey, Brandy Toncrey Seymour, Brittany Shaelynn Toncrey and Savannah Holden and seven great grandchildren, Karston Hall, Braddox Zapata, Paisley Joy-Marie Edwards, Bryleigh and Leah Danley, Jaylynn Seymour and Grayson Toncrey.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2012 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until service time.
