Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Boswell Lanier of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. Libby was born in Macon, Mississippi on October 2, 1935 to Joseph Vernon Boswell and Sinnie Waters Hunter. Years later it was in Macon where she met the love of her life, Marvin Allen Lanier. In 1970 Libby and Allen moved to Gulfport where they would remain for the rest of their lives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Vernon Boswell and Sinnie Waters Hunter, her loving husband, Marvin Allen Lanier; and her sister, Dot Clearman. She is survived by three sisters, Josie Campbell Shaul, Linda Grantham and Nina Allred; a brother, James Hunter Boswell; two sons, Wayne Allen Lanier and his wife, Barbara, Mark Randall Lanier and his wife, Ann; four grandchildren, Beth Lanier Wilson, Brad Lanier, Joyce Petersen, and Dennis Caspelich; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at Biloxi National Cemetery, In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Klein Road Church of God, 11392 Klein Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
