Elvera M. Catchot Ross

Elvera Catchot Ross, 92, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. Elvera was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where she was a member of “Legion of Mary”, the Altar Society and Bereavement Committee. Elvera was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Ross Sr.; sons, John w. Ross Jr. and Edward Daniel Ross Sr.; grandchildren, Brandy and Charles; parents, Arthur and Albertine Catchot; brother, Arthur Catchot Jr.; and sister, Elaine Bosarge. She is survived by her daughters, Vera Ann (John) Robertson and Judy (Randy) Lesso; son, Robert “Bobby” (Dorothy) Ross; daughters-in-law, Nadine Ross and Linda Ross; sister, Joycelyn Webb; 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. A 12:30 p.m. graveside service will take place at Biloxi National Cemetery on Friday, August 26, 2016. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge.
