Ernest Lancette

Mr. Ernest Lancette, age 87, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Monday, January 28, 2013, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Lancette was born in Syracuse, NY on February 13, 1925. He moved to the coast in 1999. In Syracuse he worked for Hersey's Chocolate, General Electric and the Railroad. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948. He loved to travel and fish and being around his family and friends. He had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone who needed help. Mr. Lancette was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Davis, two sons, Earnie Lancette and James Lancette, parents, Gladys Lancette Puhula and George J. Lancette, brothers, Eugene Lancette, Richard (Mary) Lancette, Donald (Shirley) Lancette and James Lancette, sisters, Myrtle (Lou) Miller and Lillian Muser, and a brother-in-law, Bill Jennings. He was also preceded in death by his loving companion, Betty Lancette Mallette. Survivors include his children, Donna (Mike) Holcomb of Houston, TX, Margo (Roger) Scheeler of Ocean Springs, MS, Marnie Lancette and Renee' Crimmins, both of Oswego, NY, Christine Heagele of Tuckerton, NJ, sisters, Ruth Jennings of Greencastle, IN and Deloris Regnault of Jackson, NJ, and brothers, Robert (Cris Ann) Puhula of Indiana and Peter (Lydia) Lancette of Webster, MA, sister-in-law, Linda Lancette of Syracuse, NY, 22 grandkids and 12 great-grandkids. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
