Evelyn Mae Cox McMichael

Evelyn Mae Cox McMichael, 84, of Ocean Springs, MS died on Monday, May 7, 2012. Ms McMichael was a native of Pass Christian and had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for the past 64 years. She was a member of the Ocean Springs Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Ms McMichael was a devoted soul mate to her husband who would sometimes help him on his shrimp boat. Ms McMichael enjoyed her family and working in her garden. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harold Vincent Cox. Ms McMichael is survived by her daughters, Annette (Scott) Ingram of Vancleave, DeeAnn (Matt) Trosclair of Ocean Springs, Tina (Vic) Daugherty also of Ocean Springs; sons, Wayne (Mary) Cox of Beaufort, NC and Michael (Debra) Cox of D’Iberville; sister, Delores Cox of Ocean Springs; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bellande Cemetery, Ocean Springs.
