Flora Swetman Hysmith, 81, of Biloxi, MS died Tuesday, October 23, 2012. She was a longtime resident of New Orleans and a retired beautician. She was a member of Victims and Citizens Against Crime in New Orleans. She was Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Thomas Hysmith; parents, Hazel Mattina Hartmann and Evon E. Swetman; and a brother, Leonard Swetman.
Survivors include a son, Thomas E. Hysmith and his wife, Kellye of Long Beach, MS; a sister, Norma Robb of Calif; three grandchildren, Chad Miller, Kristen Hysmith, and Lisa Hysmith; and three great grandchildren, Austin Hysmith, Autumn Miller, and Ashley Miller.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour before the Mass.
The family prefers memorials to one’s favorite charity.
