Frances Helen (Styzek) Love

Frances Helen (Styzek) Love, formerly a 55-year resident of Ocala, FL, passed away in Ocean Springs, MS on Friday, January 31, 2014, after a ten-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Ms. Love resided at Greenbriar Nursing Center in D’Iberville, MS for the past six years where she was loved and respected by the staff. Ms. Love was born on October 6, 1918 and grew up in Chicago, IL as one of six children of Frank and Katherine Styzek. Ms. Love was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Katherine Styzek; her sisters Genevieve, Helen, Eleanor and Virginia; and her brother, Wallie. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Bob) Banghart of CO and Lana (Steve) Robinson of MS; and sons, Gail (Charlotte) Love and Paul Love of FL. Ms. Love was blessed with grandchildren, Shari (Derek) Radich, Sandra (Michael) Peterson, Stephen Love, Sean (Mary) Love and Shannon Love; and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Jake Simon Peterson, Lily Anabelle and Ty Radich, and Katie and Claire Love. Ms. Love also leaves several nieces and nephews. Ms. Love accepted her Lord and Savior and lived a giving and grateful life always thanking her Lord at the end of each day on bended knee in prayer. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ocala, FL. She was employed as a waitress for most of her life. With only an 8th grade education, she served her family as mother, banker, real estate developer, financial planner, teacher and more. She was an amazing person! The family wishes to thank Drs. Jason Black, Amber Colville, Joe Furr, Cathy Hirsch and John Weldon and the incredibly skilled staff on 2E at Ocean Springs Hospital for their compassion and care. In addition, many thanks to all of the staff at Greenbriar Nursing Center for six years of care and love, and also to Odyssey Hospice. Special thanks to her friend and fellow-Greenbriar resident, Ms. Lillian Ott, who was always there for her and who provided comfort by singing beautiful hymns at her bedside. The family is honoring Ms. Love’s wishes for cremation without any service. Her corporal remains will be transported by her family members “home” to Chicago where she will be placed at rest with her mother and father whom she dearly missed, loved and cherished. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe is in charge of arrangements.
