Fred Bush Stephens

Mr. Fred B. Stephens, Sr., age 94, of Vancleave, died Thursday, January 1, 2015. Mr. Stephens was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Biloxi. He was a member of the Magnolia Lodge F&AM and Joppa Shrine Temple. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corps where he served from 1941-1945 as a Tech Sergeant in Burma and India and retired as a car salesman from Pringle-Ford in Biloxi and as farmer. Mr. Stephens is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Inez Wentzell Stephens; parents, Levi and Amna Bush Stephens; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers. Survivors include his son, Fred B. (Abelene) Stephens, Jr.; daughter, Nancy Stephens DeCoux; and grandchildren, Blake and Clint DeCoux. Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 3pm. Friends may visit from 2-3pm. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
