Garland Robert Belote

Garland Robert Belote, Jr, 88, of Gulfport died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Gulfport. He was born in Onancock, VA and graduated from Onancock High School and attended Gettysburg College. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired as Master Sergeant at Keesler Air Force Base. He was a retired insurance agent with State Farm Insurance in Bay St. Louis. He was a member of Coast Episcopal Church in Bay St. Louis and he was a Mason. Mr. Belote was preceded in death by wife of 56 years Margaret Jean Lazenby Belote and son Michael Roland Belote of Bay St Louis, MS. He is survived by son Garland Robert Belote, III of Dallas, TX; grandson Christopher Patrick Belote of Dallas, TX; brothers- in- law, Bill Lazenby and wife Mary Rose Lazenby of Atlantic, VA, Mack Lazenby and wife Susan of Auburn, AL, Joseph Houtman of Seaford, DE; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousin Betty Gene Waters of Blue Bell, PA.
