Gaynell R. Leachman

Mrs. Gaynell R. Leachman, age 75, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Lucedale, MS. Mrs. Leachman was a longtime resident of Ocean Springs and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She was a Registered Nurse and started her career at Gulf Coast Community Medical Center. She also worked at Biloxi Regional, the Veterans Administration Hospital and the Biloxi Specialty Center. Mrs. Leachman retired from nursing shortly after Hurricane Katrina. In the 1970's she was a member of the Le Femmes Mardi Gras Ball organization. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Jim Lovell, brother, Don Lovell and two sisters, Linda Guedry and Martha Jean Lovell. Survivors include her three children, David Leachman, Kelly Leachman Tipton and Leah Leachman Singleton, two sisters, Olivia James and Connie Taylor, brother, James Lovell and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 1pm until 2 pm, with a 2pm Memorial Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
