Mr. George J. Morange, Sr., 72, of Biloxi, passed away on November 10, 2012 in Biloxi.
George retired after 40 years of serving as a chief engineer for Offshore Logistics, Tidewater Marine and Fishing Company of Alaska. He loved spending time with family, being on the water and watching football, especially the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. He was the rock of our family and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Morange was preceeded in death by his parents, Alden and Dorothy Morange; his son George Morange, Jr., and his sister, Darlene Halvorson.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lucy Morange; two daughters, Belinda (Keith) Kattengell of Tickfaw, LA and Melissa (Richard) Mantooth of New Orleans, LA; two sons, Christopher Morange of Biloxi and Timothy Morange, Sr. of Harvey, LA; his sister, Roxanna Roberts of Piedmont, SC; his brother Alden Morange, Jr. of Abita Springs, LA; thirteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until Mass time. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, LA at 3:00 p.m.
The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
