Mrs. Glenda Maxwell Brodnax, age 70, of the Latimer Community, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in Latimer.
Glenda was a lifelong resident of the coast. She retired from Bell South after 18 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Seymour Grierson and father, Rosher Maxwell.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Tommy Brodnax of Latimer, two daughters, Kimberly (Glenn) Miller of Latimer, and Lorie (Bud) Westbrook of Ocean Springs, one sister, Wanda (James) Brown of St. Martin, a brother, Paul (JoEllen) McClain of Ocean Springs, four grandchildren, Ty and Taryn Miller and Bradley and Blake Westbrook and her two dogs, Scoot and Max.
After a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), Glenda donated her body to the University Medical Center in Jackson, so that she could help find a cure for this disease.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Velma
Arrington, Camellia Hospice and Kare-In Home Health Care for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Lorie and Kim would like to thank their father for the extraordinary care he gave as the primary caregiver to their mother.
