Dr. Glenn Everett Stapp, age 92 and a resident of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, May 11, 2014. Dr. Stapp was a native of Indianapolis, IN and a Mississippi Coast resident since 1968. Dr. Stapp served during WWII in United States 8th Army Air Corps as a P-51 pilot (1st Lt.). After completing his military service, he went to Marshall University and then obtained his degree as Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer Chiropractic College. Dr. Stapp went on to practice in Detroit, MI. Later, he opened the Stapp Chiropractic Clinic in Gulfport, MS and was a member of the Mississippi Chiropractic Association. He became a faithful Jehovah's Witness in 1970. Doc not only spent his life helping those he came in contact with, he also enjoyed many sports and the outdoors thought his life. To name a few, he played for the Fighting Irish Baseball Team in Detroit, MI, He enjoyed playing football, piloting and flying planes, archery which he taught all his children, jogging, taking his family to boat races and car shows, gardening and tending to plants with his wife and grandchildren. He enjoyed time spent fishing with his sons and grandsons. He treasured the times he was able to take walks with and talk to his great-grandchildren about animals, plants and Jehovah. Of the things he was the most proud of was his family and being a Jehovah's Witnesses minister.Dr. Stapp was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rose Czmyr Stapp, and his parents Earl Watson Stapp, DVM and Ethel Frue Stapp. Survivors include children Glenn Stapp II and his wife Mary Alice of Tucson, AZ; Dennis Stephen Stapp and his wife Mary Kathrine of Huntsville, AL; Kathleen Joy Stapp Sanders of Gulfport, MS; Brian David Stapp and his wife Cheryle Lorraine of Tulsa, OK; and Nancy Anne Stapp Bozek and her husband James Robert Bozek of Gulfport, MS; Surviving grandchildren are Glenn Anthony Stapp, III, Angela Marie Stapp, Victoria Lauren Stapp, Christian Danforth Stapp, Heather Lynn Sanders, Tiffany Kaye Bozek Varhaug, Nicole Leigh Bozek Regan, James Julius Bozek; and great grandchildren Gabrielle Rose, Drake, Prince Caelyn, Connor, Cooper, Hannah Rose, and Gabrielle Elizabeth. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ramada Inn Meeting Room located at 9415 Highway 49, Gulfport, MS, 39503 on Sunday, May 25th at 4:00pm. All those wishing to extend their condolences are invited to begin arriving at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Watchtower which may be sent to: Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., Attention Treasurer's Office, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, New York 11202-2483 for the Worldwide Work which include such things as relief for victims of natural disasters, support for missionaries and traveling ministers, and to print and ship Bibles and other Christian publications. We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all our friends and spiritual family as well as those at the Rio Grande and Yellowstone locations for the love and care shown throughout the years.
