Grad Leo Flick, Ph.D, age 75, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 in Ocean Springs.
Dr. Flick was born in New Orleans, La on October 24, 1939. He graduated from St. Aloysius High School in 1957. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tulane University, a Master of Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami. He had a long and distinguished career as a Clinical Psychologist and was author of 8 books on ADHD. He has been the Director of the Seacoast Psychological Associates since 1971.
Dr. Flick was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and played clarinet with the St. Michael Church Choir. He was the owner and director of the Blue Stars Orchestra, an 11 piece Big Band Orchestra.
Dr. Flick was preceded in death by his parents, Peter H. and Olivia G. Flick; and his aunt, Claire Dobronich.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Alma Lott Flick, son, Marcus W. Flick and grandson, Jordan M. Flick.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 14, from 9am until 10am, with a 10am Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Michael's Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Seacoast Building, 983 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the St. Michael's Family Life Center Building Fund.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
