Helen Knobloch Legett, 79, went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2012. Helen was the daughter of the late Reverend and Mrs. Earl P. Knobloch and spent most of her life in Gulfport, Mississippi.
She has joined her husband, Carl H. Legett, Sr., her son, Carl H. Legett, Jr., her grandson, Little J.C. Dyess, and her brother, Norman Knobloch.
Helen’s daughters, Laura Legett Necaise and Kathy Legett Wright lovingly cared for her to the end. Grandchildren and great grandchildren are Jessica Schrock (Abi and Jackson) and Carl (wife Regina) (Levi and Gemma), and a granddog, BoBo. Helen’s brother, Earl P. Knobloch Jr. and sisters, Myrtus Reuter and Gloria Bradley, unselfishly helped her in so many ways. Carl’s sisters, Mary Ann Mach, Charline Hays, and Elizabeth Davis were always good to her.
She was saved by God’s grace and was happiest when she could help her family, her church, and visit with her friends.
She was an active lifetime member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She was office manager for Carl Legett Builders and Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. She was a former member of the Gulfport Jaycettes and the Altrusa Club.
The service is Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church where friends may visit beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
